Standard Portable Toilet Rental Cincinnati

The standard portable toilet is the base unit for most Cincinnati job sites and everyday events. It measures roughly 43 inches wide, 47 inches deep, and 91 inches tall, weighs about 200 pounds empty, and holds a 60-gallon tank rated for roughly 200-225 uses between services. That capacity is the key planning number: a single unit serves about 10 workers on a 40-hour week, or a crowd of up to 250 for a one-day gathering, before it needs pumping. Over the Rhine Portable Toilet Rental places these units for framing crews in Westwood and College Hill, backyard graduation parties in Hyde Park and Pleasant Ridge, and neighborhood block events around Over-the-Rhine and Northside.

The standard unit is the right pick when the ground is firm and roughly level and the primary need is basic toilet access. If a wedding in Mount Adams or a catered reception near Eden Park needs a flush and a handwash sink, a deluxe or restroom-trailer option fits better; the trade-off is cost and footprint, since a standard unit needs only a 4-foot-square patch of ground and no water or power hookup. For an ADA-compliant unit with a wider door and floor space, that is a separate wheelchair-accessible model. If the choice is between one standard unit and two, the rule of thumb is one per 10 workers or one per 50 guests over an 8-hour event, a festival crowd near Sawyer Point clears the 60-gallon tank fast, so a second unit or twice-weekly service prevents an overflow.

Placement matters for both service and cost. The delivery truck needs a clear path within about 15 feet of the drop spot, so a unit set behind a locked gate in Oakley or up a steep Mount Adams driveway can require hand-carrying and advance notice. Streets in Over-the-Rhine and along Findlay Market often need a right-of-way permit from the City of Cincinnati before a unit sits on the pavement or a parking lane; on private lawns and driveways no permit applies. Weekly service runs on a fixed route day, and the standard tank chemical controls odor for about seven days in summer heat, which is why the once-weekly cleaning is built into the base rate.

How a standard rental works: 1) call the address and start date; 2) confirm the placement spot and any gate or permit details; 3) the unit is delivered and set level, usually within 24-48 hours; 4) a service truck returns weekly to pump and sanitize; 5) pickup happens on the scheduled end date. Rentals of 28 days or shorter fall under the flat monthly structure; longer construction placements in Madisonville or Clifton are billed per 28-day cycle.
